My Story
"Learning is an experience.
Everything else is just information."
Albert Einstein
Hey, I'm Heidi. I create products for people who desperately want a better way to learn or review stuff they [think they] already know. I remind them that we lose what we don't use, and I help them design learning that sticks.
When I'm not leading meetings with experts of various subjects and figuring out ways to move through a course without clicking "Next," I can be found teaching my teenager how to knit, playing 4-chord songs on a ukulele (all in the same key), and learning from yet another failed attempt to bake French macarons.
If you're dying to know more, here are 5 things you don't know about me:
I grew up in Fargo, ND - and no, it's nothing like the movie. Although, that accent can actually be heard if you know where to go.
I was not a dog person until Casper - an adorable, full-size labradoodle entered my life.
I'd rather spend hours discussing the potential implications of alien life than who said what on the latest episode of any bachelor/ette show.
I have hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon - and somehow, miraculously, back to the top. (Ask me about this story sometime - it involves a McDonald's Filet O'Fish sandwich...)
The book, Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle by Emily Nagoski and Amelia Nagoski changed my life and is largely responsible for you reading this right now.
