Distance Learning Workflow

In the fall of 2020, many school-age care programs took on the task of caring for the children of essential workers. This required child care staff to assist students with navigating Distance Learning using unfamiliar software.

I worked with organization leaders to understand what employees needed to know in order to best support students. The Technology Coach and I hosted a webinar and designed this Distance Learning Workflow job aid.

Employees immediately began using this document in 29 classrooms at seven schools. Initially, several staff members gave positive feedback about the content and simplicity of this job aid. Over three months, fewer staff members needed to refer to it in order to help students with online learning successfully.
