Oculus for Business - click for details
Brian's role in the IT department of a large corporation involves providing Virtual Reality (VR) solutions to teams within the company. Facebook, which owns Oculus consumer VR, also offers Oculus for Business (OfB). This Enterprise VR solution is a much smaller program than Facebook’s consumer offerings, and contains only applications created by the company utilizing the service. This places the responsibility for training new VR users on the business, versus tools provided by Facebook.
Brian was the OfB subject matter expert for whom I designed a course in Artiuclate Rise. This storyboard structure clarified the steps needed to assist employees who are issued an enterprise VR headset. While the Oculus Quest headsets are quite intuitive, the steps for setting up a virtual space and accessing online collaborative environments is not as straightforward. The course built from this storyboard will teach remote VR users how to properly set up the hardware and access the software in a streamlined form, making no assumptions about the user’s knowledge of comfort with this new technology.
Instructor Led Training Outline - click for details
In order to meet the 2017 state-mandated requirements for two hours of Child Development training for each staff person every year, I developed this Instructor Led Training for the Stillwater Schools Adventure Club program. Using Excel, I mapped the outline of each section, including timing targets and learning activities.
Each section is also broken down to include learning objectives, content, models or illustrations, details of learning activities, and evaluation methods. This outline resulted in an organized training that flows easily between sections. Throughout the planning process, it allowed me to adjust timing to meet the needs of each lecture, discussion, and activity.
