Oculus for Business - click for details
Brian's role in the IT department of a large corporation involves providing Virtual Reality (VR) solutions to teams within the company. Facebook, which owns Oculus consumer VR, also offers Oculus for Business (OfB). This Enterprise VR solution is a much smaller program than Facebook’s consumer offerings, and contains only applications created by the company utilizing the service. This places the responsibility for training new VR users on the business, versus tools provided by Facebook.
Brian was the OfB subject matter expert for whom I designed this infographic in order to assist employees who are issued an enterprise VR headset. While the Oculus Quest headsets are quite intuitive, the steps for setting up a virtual space and accessing online collaborative environments are not as straightforward. This learning guide will teach remote VR users how to properly set up the hardware and access the software in a streamlined form, making no assumptions about the user’s knowledge of comfort with this new technology.
Distance Learning Workflow - click for details
In the fall of 2020, School Age Care programs were charged with assisting students attending childcare with navigating Distance Learning. I worked with organization leaders to understand what employees needed to know in order to best support students.
Along with the Technology Coach, I hosted a live and recorded webinar, and designed a Distance Learning Workflow job aid where we introduced this job aid. Employees immediately began using this document in 29 classrooms at seven schools.

In the Stillwater Schools, managers must fill out an Employee Action Form for each new hire, as well as any time an hourly employee's work assignment changes. School Age Care staff must complete this form for 80-125 staff members once and often twice each calendar year.
This form was created in MS Word. However, as the organization moved away from Microsoft tools, some new computers were not equipped with MS Office software. I uploaded this form into Adobe Acrobat Pro, adjusted fillable text boxes, and added and formatted check boxes. This interactive PDF works on both Mac and PC computers, and improved the formatting of data collected by those without MS Office software.
